Last night my buddie with a Pheonix 00 ITR let me drive it and man, I now know why people give up the luxuries to get this car. (sunroof, cruise, sound deadening) It was amazing to push this basically bone stock car to the limit. He has some 17's and an AEM but other then that is is totally stock. VTEC was so F*CKING loud
I couldn't believe it when it kicked in! The extra #10 on the tach is pretty damn cool too
The car feels so solid and it handles, handles, handles, handles. We took this ramp with a posted 25mph at nearly 40mph and tires squeeling and all it held on and kept rotating around (very tight curve) like nothing. It was damn near effortless to keep it in the turn. LSD is GGRRRREEEEEEAT! Now only if it could have been super charged to give it the tach swinging characteristics of my car. If you haven't driven one, drive one ASAP cause it is absolutely amazing what Acura did with this car.

Hey I read on another forum what your buddy thought of your SC GSR. Funny hearing about both sides of the coin.
I have yet to drive one.

My friend has an R also. A 97 and i love that car. It is so much better in a lot of ways then my SC GSR. The only thing my GSR has on that R is power and that could be taken care of quite easy. I think that i am going to buy it off of him next year when his lease is up.

We enjoy the SC GSR, but I have to fight the wife off my R... Even thought the SC GSR stomps the dogshit out of the R in a straight line, the R is MUCH, MUCH more fun to drive...
